Eagles’ striker Jermaine Easter caught up with Palace Player to discuss pre-season training and his thoughts on the upcoming 2012/13 season.
“It’s good to be back. This year was different really because we had a longer break, it was nine weeks so it was getting a bit boring towards the end. The Euros kept me busy and were interesting but you want to start playing when you’re watching the games.
“All the preparation (now) will be focused on the games against Watford and Exeter and they’re good games to get playing the way we want to play. The manager will be able to get his ideas across to the players that are already here and the new players that have joined the group, so it (pre-season) is important.”
Every player always knows what they want to improve on next season so that they can better themselves and improve upon the player that they were the season before that and Jermaine’s no different.
“I just want to better than last season. I want to play more games and score more goals. It was disappointing for me last season to be in and out all the time, but at the same time I enjoy being here and I love the lads, I love the training and everything like that. So if I can get more game time that’ll be great for me.”
