Millwall On General Sale

18 October 2012

npower Championship: Saturday 20th October 2012 - Crystal Palace v Millwall.

After careful consideration, and in partnership with the Police, Crystal Palace FC have made the decision to give Millwall fans exclusive use of the Arthur Wait Stand and to bring the kick off time forward to 1pm for the above fixture. The police have stated that they are not in a position to increase the resource needed for additional away fans due to the TUC march in London and other high profile games in the capital that day meaning that the number of tickets allocated to Millwall fans is restricted to 2,600. The remainder of the Arthur Wait Stand will be sterile on the grounds of health and safety and the game will be ALL TICKET*. A full police statement is below.

"During the planning phase for the forthcoming fixture at Selhurst Park at 1pm on Sat 20th Oct 2012, ticket allocations for Millwall supporters was discussed between CPFC management and the MPS. The 10% entitlement for the stadium is 2.600 away tickets based on the club's capacity and the Football League rules. An increased allocation was considered favourably by both the MPS and management from CPFC. However, due to the number of police resources that would be needed to facilitate an increase of Millwall tickets, it created a problem for Saturday 20th October 2012. The issue related to the heavy demand for police resources being provided to the TUC Demonstration in central London on the same day. Therefore, for this fixture the ticket allocation remained at 2,600 for Millwall supporters. Furthermore, Millwall have now sold all of the 2,600 tickets and Millwall fans are discouraged from attending on match day as no further tickets can be provided."

Season ticket holders in the Arthur Wait Stand will be asked to re-locate their seat for this game and will be given an additional ticket for a guest for the Ipswich game on November 6th as a gesture of goodwill.

Online ticket sales for this game will be for season ticket holders only and tickets for home areas will only be sold to supporters with a CPFC booking history. Tickets are now on sale for Crystal Palace supporters at Category A prices.

Any season ticket holders who purchase online and are then found to have sold tickets on to visiting supporters they will have their card suspended for the rest of the season without refund.

The club can assure all supporters that any changes to entry and exit to and from the stadium on the day will be communicated in advance of the game so supporters can plan their journey accordingly.
