Preview: Barnsley

23 October 2012

Barnsley are currently struggling in 17th place in the table, with only two wins from their last six games, however victory at Charlton on Saturday may have lifted spirits.

Thomas Cywka scored the only goal of the game, however Palace will be boosted by the absence of top scorer Craig Davies who picked up a hamstring injury against the Addicks and will probably be replaced by Marlon Harewood.

Barnsley will be anxious for a home win but haven't won back-to-back games since last December. Julian Speroni looks set to play his 250th league game for the Eagles.

Crystal Palace:  Dean Moxey is suspended following his red card against Millwall,  whilst Wilfried Zaha will also not feature after receiving a fifth yellow card.  Darcy Blake took a knock on Saturday during the Millwall encounter and is doubtful and Paddy McCarthy is still out long-term with a groin problem.

Barnsley: As well as Davies' injury manager Keith Hill is also worrying over the availability of Stephen Dawson who is struggling with illness.
