The spectacular Addington Golf Club in Shirley was the location for golfing guests at the season's first Crystal Palace ‘Game of Two Halves’ Golf Day on Tuesday.
The superb course, owned by former Palace Chairman Ron Noades, saw teams compete under Stableford Rules for the winning trophies, returning to Selhurst Park in the evening for part two of the day and the npower Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.
Eagles assistant manager Lennie Lawrence was on hand to award prizes to the various winners, as the golfers joined fellow guests in the sumptuous Speroni’s Restaurant for full hospitality and Directors Box seating for the game against Sean O’ Driscoll’s men.
The team from Signs By Seymour, captained by Tony Hall, won the overall event, with Rob Sandry from the Outside Event Caterers team bagging the best score on the day.
The 'Game of Two Halves' is one of the most popular corporate events of the season, and the Club would like to thank all those who helped make the day one of the best in recent years.
Very special thanks to Ron Noades and all the members, helpers and staff for a great day and for the excellent condition of the course, and to Mark Smith and his team at Gamesman for generously supplying the golf prizes.
The Spring ‘Game of Two Halves’ will be on Tuesday, 5th March at the magnificent Park Wood Golf Club in Tatsfield, with the npower Championship game against Hull City providing the second half to another superb day of sport and hospitality.
Teams cost £750 + VAT for four people and includes two sports, full hospitality all day and a great opportunity to network.
