Ipswich Town suffered their first defeat in six matches on Saturday when they lost 2-1 to promotion chasing Hull City. They remain five places and four points above the relegation danger line.
Mick McCarthy's side were on the end of a 5-0 defeat at Selhurst in November when Palace went top of the division in Ian Holloway's first game in charge but the new boss at Portman Road has certainly turned fortunes around. Their biggest problem has been hitting the back of the net with only 41 goals arriving in their 42 games to date.
McCarthy believes 56 points will secure safety and three points in this one will take them to that figure.
Ipswich Town: Loan striker Aaron McLean is a doubt with a toe injury after missing Saturday's defeat against his parent club Hull under the terms of his deal, but Jay Tabb (knee), Lee Martin (ankle) and Patrick Kisnorbo (illness) hope to be fit for the hosts.
Crystal Palace: Captain Mile Jedinak starts a two game suspension and striker Jason Banton is set to be included in the squad after being recalled from his loan at Plymouth Argyle. Kagisho Dikgacoi is set to return to the midfield after missing the last game through injury, but Owen Garvan and Paddy McCarthy remain sidelined.
Referee: Simon Hooper
Assistants: Danny Markham and Dan Robothan
