Bristol City started their League One Campaign with two losses and two draws, with their latest outing away to the MK Dons finishing 2-2. It leaves Robins’ boss Sean O’Driscoll still searching for his first win of the 2013/14 season.
The last time the two teams met was in February this year, when they met as Championship rivals. On that occasion, the Eagles triumphed 2-1 at Selhurst Park, but they were beaten 4-1 on their visit to Ashton Gate last August.
Crystal Palace have in fact been waiting 34 years for an away win at Ashton Gate, failing in 10 attempts to obtain all three points.
The last three meetings between the sides have seen 11 goals scored.
Palace: Manager Ian Holloway could look to shuffle his pack for tonight’s game, with three of his summer signings Neil Alexander, Florian Marange and Elliot Grandin all pushing for starting berths. Another of Palace’s newest recruits who could play some part tonight is Jerome Thomas, who is still awaiting his debut after suffering a calf injury in the friendly defeat to Lazio earlier this month. But Yannick Bolasie, Paddy McCarthy and Jonny Parr are still unavailable due to injury.
Bristol City: O'Driscoll is also expected to rotate his team this evening as he goes on search of a morale-boosting win. Former West Ham and Nottingham Forest striker Marlon Harewood is pushing for his first start since joining the club earlier this month.
Referee: Iain Williamson
Assistants: Robert Ellis and Paul Hobday
Fourth Official: Duncan Street
