Crystal Palace’s development side will play their opening two home games of the season at Selhurst Park.
The young Eagles will compete in the Under-21 Professional Development League 2 during the 2013/14 campaign, alongside rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic and Millwall.
And it is the Lions who will provide the first opposition of the season for Gary Issott’s men, when they clash at Selhurst Park in a 7pm kick off on Tuesday 20th August – just two days after the senior side take on Tottenham Hotspur on the same turf in their Barclays Premier League opener.
The under-21s will travel to Charlton Athletic on Monday 26th August, before returning to Selhurst to host Cardiff City on Tuesday 3rd September. That game will also kick off at 7pm.
Palace host Brighton on Monday 7th October, with a venue for that clash still to be decided.
The development side can already look forward to walking out at another Premier League ground, the Cardiff City Stadium, when they travel to the Welsh capital on Monday 13th January 2014.
Their trips to Brentford and Ipswich will also be played at Griffin Park and Portman Road respectively, as part of league rulings that require a set number of fixtures to be played at the club’s stadium.
