Crystal Palace are delighted to announce that the very special guest for our traditional end of season Sporting Dinner is former England manager and Liverpool, Hamburg and Newcastle United legend, Kevin Keegan OBE.
The dinner will take place at the Hilton Hotel Croydon on Thursday, May 16th, where a drinks reception will begin from 5pm.
As a player in the 1970s and 1980s, Kevin Keegan has been described as "arguably the first superstar English player to attract the modern media spotlight", and in an illustrious career won a host of trophies both here and abroad with Liverpool, Hamburg and Newcastle United. He won 63 caps for England and as a manager won promotions with three clubs; Fulham, Newcastle and Manchester City. He was also voted European Footballer of the Year in 1978 and again in 1979. In 1999 he took charge of the England team and took them to the 2000 European Championships in Belgium/Holland.
One of the best after dinner speakers in the country and a real football character, Keegan describes his spectacular career, and his highs and lows of a life in football, ably hosted by our very own Barry Williams. There’s top comedy, a superb three course meal, raffles and a sporting auction, with all proceeds from the night going to the CPFC Youth Academy. It’s a night that you won’t want to miss.
Tables for 10 people for this very special event are £950 + vat and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
