Rio Links Up With CPFC Foundation

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has linked up with Crystal Palace in a bid to tackle gang crime.

Crystal Palace FC Foundation is to team up with the the footballer’s charity, the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, to steer young adults away from gangs and violence. Young people’s charities Potential, All-Inclusive and SR Expression have also signed up to the initiative, which is part of a programme coordinated by Croydon Council, the Met Police and Croydon Voluntary Action.

The project will with link up 17-24-year-olds who have been involved in gang-related crime with training and employment opportunities.
