The second annual CPFC Comedy Night has been hailed a huge success, with monies raised on the night going towards Comic Relief and our own CPFC academy.
More than 1,000 guests packed out the Fairfield Halls, in Croydon last night, as a host of top British comedians took to the stage in aid of Comic Relief.
Crystal Palace fans Kevin Day and Jo Brand compered the evening, bringing the Championship Play-Off trophy onto the stage to a chorus of cheers from the crowd, to mark the club's promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
Fellow Eagles supporters Andre Vincent and Mark Steele took to the stage in the first half of the show, before a ten-minute cameo from Tim Vine and a hilarious slot by headline act Alan Davies rounded off the night.
Hundreds of pounds was raised at an auction during the interval, as two pairs of VIP tickets to see another Palace fanatic, Eddie Izzard, went under the hammer, while a third pair was also up for grabs in a prize raffle, alongside a host of signed Crystal Palace memorabilia.
The club would like to thank the fantastic audience, all of the comedians who performed on the night and the event sponsors, Farr Vinters, for pulling together to make the CPFC Comedy Night such a successful evening.
