Blackpool Preview

31 March 2013

Blackpool go into this match just two points from the bottom three of the Championship and are on a run of just one win in the last eight, and are without a home win since February.

Paul Ince will take charge of the Tangerines for his eighth match and they are looking for a goal on their home ground for the first time since that victory over two months ago.  The home side have avoided defeat in 13 of their last 14 league matches against The Eagles and the two sides shared the points in a 2-2 draw at Selhurst earlier this campaign.

The Lancashire based side have failed to score in only one of their last 16 league and cup matches against Palace and in this fixture last season late goals secured the points for Blackpool.

Blackpool: Following Friday's draw at Blackburn Paul Ince has no new injury concerns and could again include Chris Basham, who made his return in that game after being out with a broken cheekbone.

Midfielders Ian Evatt, with a knee injury, and Gary Taylor-Fletcher suffering with a hamstring strain both miss out once again.

Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha returns from suspension to the squad on duty against Birmingham but on loan Kevin Phillips is not available against his Blackpool team mates.

Owen Garvan and Paddy McCarthy are still not ready for selection but are getting closer to being in a position to be available to join in with first team training.
