On Wednesday night the club held its Annual Croydon Charity Dinner at The Croydon Hilton where all the proceeds from an evening of fundraising were split between two local charities, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the CPFC Community Foundation. The Main event sponsor for the seventh consecutive year were Barclays with Allianz sponsoring the auction and Croydon Guardian once again in place as media partners.
The black tie event was hosted by lifelong Palace fan and raconteur Mr Barry Williams, and featured a live electronic auction with some fabulous prizes and incredible entertainment from a variety of acts from the West End including a grand finale delivered by the stars of the West End stage musicals.
Organiser of the event, Palace CEO, Phil Alexander said: '’The dinner has become the most prestigious charity event in Croydon, and I am hugely proud that once again we have hosted a fabulous evening of entertainment in Croydon whilst raising a considerable sum for both charities. I would like to thank all those who contributed to making the event a huge success and especially to Barclays as main sponsor, Allianz for their continued support of the auction system and to the Croydon Guardian as media partners.’’
