Crystal Palace have been allocated ball number seven ahead of tonight’s Capital One Cup third round draw.
A much-changed Eagles side swept past Walsall 3-0 at Banks’s Stadium last night thanks to a stunning first-half hat-trick from Dwight Gayle to put them into the hat for the last 32.
It is only the second time in the past nine seasons that Palace have reached this stage of the competition – and the last time they did so, in 2011/12, they went on to reach the semi-finals.
The third round draw will take place immediately after the conclusion of tonight’s live televised match between Bradford City and Leeds United, with all ties set to be played in the week beginning Monday 22nd September.
