Palace v Man United: The Programme

22 February 2014

The champions come to town this evening as Crystal Palace entertain Manchester United at Selhurst Park – and what better way to build up for today’s game than by reading today’s Palace Programme.

Returning striker Glenn Murray is the cover star today as he bids for his first Premier League start against the Red Devils. Last season’s 31-goal top scorer has previous against the Old Trafford club and he recalls that memorable League Cup win over United back in November 2011 as part of an in-depth four-page interview.

We also catch up with Julian Speroni, who relives his pivotal saves last time out here against West Bromwich Albion which helped the Eagles to a third consecutive Premier League home win. And the Argentine has issued a rallying cry to his teammates, saying they “should only be happy with victory” this evening.

Elsewhere in today’s edition, we relive that 3-1 win over the Baggies a fortnight ago and reveal how debut goalscorers Tom Ince and Joe Ledley made Palace history that day.

Jonny Williams also makes an appearance as he picks his Dream XI, while Joel Ward relives his Footballing Firsts.

Former Palace striker Mark Bright, who has plenty of memories of playing against Manchester United, discusses the thrill of facing the Old Trafford giants in his regular column, while Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler is the guest writer in the latest edition of From the Press Box.

With the usual pages from manager Tony Pulis, captain Mile Jedinak and co-chairman Stephen Browett to also look forward to, as well as our regular 11-page look at today’s opponents, there’s plenty of content to get your teeth into ahead of today’s sell-out fixture.

Programmes will be on sale around the ground throughout the afternoon, while you can also download a digital version on your iPad for just £2.99.
