Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has targeted three points against Crystal Palace on Saturday to maintain his side’s impressive league form.
Spurs have picked up 10 points from a possible 12 in the Barclays Premier League since Tim Sherwood took charge in December – a run that included impressive away victories at Southampton and Manchester United.
Eriksen, who was named the Danish Football Players’ Association Player of the Year for 2013 earlier this week, has been selected in all four of those league outings and is expected to provide the creative influence in Tottenham’s midfield again at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
And the former Ajax man believes the onus will be on the hosts to make good use of the ball in order to break down Tony Pulis’ men.
Speaking to the Tottenham website, Eriksen said: “We’ll probably have the ball more, but we just have to use the ball well against what could be a defensive team.
“Every game is difficult but I believe we can maintain our good run of form in the league and pick up another win.
“We’ve played some good games in the Premier League over the last month and hopefully we can build on that.
“We’re determined to get the three points on Saturday.”
