Crystal Palace club captain Paddy McCarthy is set to start his first competitive match since April 2012 against Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
The 30-year-old, who missed all of last season with a groin injury and has been limited to a handful of appearances for the development side this term, partners Damien Delaney at the heart of the Eagles defence.
McCarthy's inclusion is one of four changes made by manager Tony Pulis for the FA Cup fourth round tie against the Latics.
Danny Gabbidon, Joel Ward, Mile Jedinak and Yannick Bolasie have all been rested for this afternoon's match at the DW Stadium, having played a key part in Palace's 1-0 victory over Stoke City last weekend.
In come Stuart O'Keefe, Barry Bannan and Cameron Jerome, as Pulis fields a strong side to take on the FA Cup holders.
