Team News: Jerome Starts

22 March 2014

Cameron Jerome starts up front for Crystal Palace against Newcastle United this afternoon.

The 27-year-old comes into Tony Pulis' XI in place of Glenn Murray, who drops to the bench this afternoon.

The on loan Stoke forward has not started for Palace since the 2-0 defeat at Arsenal at the start of February.

That is one of two changes to the side that drew 0-0 at Sunderland last week, with Jason Puncheon recalled in place of Tom Ince.

Joel Ward is set to continue at left back at St James' Park today, with Adrian Mariappa retaining his right back berth.

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Dikgacoi, Jedinak, Puncheon, Ledley, Bolasie, Jerome.

Crystal Palace subs: Hennessey, Gabbidon, O'Keefe, Guedioura, Bannan, Ince, Murray.

Newcastle: Krul; Yanga-Mbiwa, Williamson, Coloccini (c), Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Tioté, Gouffran; de Jong, Cissé.

Newcastle subs: Elliot, S.Taylor, Haïdara, Gosling, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Shola Ameobi.
