Duo Pull Out Of International Squads

12 November 2014

Palace pair Kevin Doyle and James McArthur have withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland and Scotland international squads respectively through injury.

The duo were on course to face each other on Friday night when the two sides meet in a Euro 2016 qualifier but Doyle missed training yesterday with a groin problem and has been sent back to the Eagles for treatment.

McArthur has also been forced to return to south London after he picked up a calf injury during preparations for his side's game against Martin O'Neill's men and also a friendly visit from England next week.

Another Palace player who isn't currently scheduled to feature in the clash between the two Celtic nations is Damien Delaney, who is only on O'Neill's standby list for their games against the Scots and the USA during this international break.
