Beer Festival: Saturday May 30th 2015

1 April 2015

The Crystal Palace Beer Festival on Saturday May 30th at Selhurst Park Stadium, between 12 noon and 7pm, will feature many rare brews sourced from all over the country. Once again we are delighted to support our local micro-brewery in Croydon by showcasing a fabulous range of ales and porters from the Cronx brewery. These are not only outstanding beers in their own right, but they are also brewed by supporters of the club.

This will be a unique opportunity to try the whole Cronx range as well as a couple of one-off specials that they will be brewing just for us:-

Standard (3.8% Bitter)

A full bodied British Ale using Pale and Crystal malts with a touch of the darker malts for depth of flavour. We use English hops for aroma and flavour.

Kotchin (3.9% Blonde)

To Kotch: London slang; To chill out, relax, enjoy doing nothing in particular. This is the perfect beer for that. A hoppy blonde ale brewed with Cascade hops to give it a passionfruit and peach aroma.

Nektar (4.5% Pale)

A pale ale brewed using Marynka hops from Poland. Hints of apricot on the nose combine with a hoppy, citrussy finish, to have you longing for more nektar.

Entire (5.2% Porter)

Inspired by Croydon brewing heritage. Entire was a blend of ‘Three threads’ that were made by a Croydon brewery – Ale, hopped beer & tuppenny, which were mixed together by a barman in Shoreditch where it became so popular with manual workers, later becoming known as ‘Porter’. Seven different malts go into this truly epic brew.

Mad-Ass Entire (5.2% Chilli Porter)

We have teamed up with Mad-Ass Chilli Sauce Company to give a twist to our popular Porter! Mad-Ass Entire Porter is spiced up with Naga Chillis for a warming kick, as well as Chipotle Chillis for a slight smokiness.

Single Hop: Calypso (6% IPA)

The Galaxy hop version of this beer was 2013 CPFC Beer Festival Gold medal winner. We use the same I.P.A malt base for each brew and select a hop that we really want to showcase Then, we add the hops. Loads of them.

The event kindly sponsored by Cornwall’s Sharp’s Brewery, will include live music and entertainment - and the 134th FA Cup Final will be shown live on the stadium big screen and concourse televisions.

Local bands, Birdog Blues and Seattle Inc will be joining us along with the South London Jazz Orchestra.

Based on a sell out crowd last year, the club have made 3,000 tickets available for this favourite fan event.

Tickets are just £10 in advance or £15 on the day and every attendee will get a commemorative CPFC Beer Festival glass.
