The Gloves Are Off

1 April 2015

Crystal Palace F.C. are looking forward to welcoming Dundee F.C. to Selhurst Park as we commend the fantastic achievements of goalkeeping legend, Julian Speroni

On the evening of the Tuesday 26th May, Selhurst Park will play host to Dundee F.C. as a celebration of the Crystal Palace number one’s tenth year at the club.

Julian joined Palace from Dundee back in 2004, for a seemingly modest fee of £500,000. Still at the tender age of 35, Speroni has racked up over 350 appearances in a Palace shirt.

Julian has become a cult hero with The Eagles and of course has been named the supporters’ Player Of The Season on four separate occasions.

Come and join us on this special evening to celebrate one of Crystal Palace’s longest serving players. His commitment to the Club has been unwavering in his ten years and what better way to mark this

occasion than a match between two clubs that have been pivotal in Speroni’s development as a footballer.

Julian told the official website “I am so grateful to both clubs for their faith in me as a footballer. My career would not of been the same withouttheir support and I am honoured to say I have served both Crystal Palace and Dundee. The fans here at Crystal Palaceare some of the most passionate I have ever come across.

“Everybody at the club thrives off the matchday atmosphereat Selhurst Park and I am sure it will be much the same on this historic evening. I look forward to celebrating withthe fans and thanking them for all their support over the years.”
