Loan Round-Up

18 August 2015

Port Vale hosted Gillingham at Vale Park on Saturday, with Ryan Inniss playing the full game for the home side - and managing to hit the crossbar with a header, though the game finished 1-1.

Midfielder Hiram Boateng played the full game as Plymouth Argyle hosted Portsmouth at home, losing 2-1 to the side from further along the south coast. The youngster was a threat to the Pompey goal - particularly with a volley from distance - but was caught out at the back, conceding a penalty, which the visitors converted.

Jerome Binnom-Williams was a second half substitute for Burton Albion, replacing striker Lucas Akins on 64 minutes, during the Brewers' 1-0 defeat away to Barnsley on Saturday afternoon. The natural left-back put in an impressive display for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men, playing out of position on the right wing.

He caused Barnsley problems going forward and looked to create chances for his teammates, but was ultimately unable to help them salvage a point.

Sheffield Wednesday fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Ipswich Town, failing to build on their win from the opening day of the season. On-loan right-back Jack Hunt played the full 90 minutes for the Owls, whilst former Palace loanee Freddie Sears was on target for the home side.

Goalkeeper Chris Kettings was an unused substitute during Stevenage's 2-2 away draw at Newport County - his first game since heading out on loan.
