Preview: Dagenham and Redbridge v Palace

3 August 2015

The Eagles travel to Dagenham and Redbridge tonight for their final pre-season friendly of the summer with the Premier League season now just five days away.

After drawing 1-1 with Fulham on Saturday, Alan Pardew will again be in the dugout for this clash with the Daggers, and is expected to make wholesale changes to his side as he aims to get every member of his squad up to speed ahead of the season’s kick-off on Saturday.

Dagenham have enjoyed a mixed bag of results during their seven pre-season friendlies this summer, winning three times including a 2-1 success over Southend United, but losing the other four which saw defeats to Dulwich Hamlet and Charlton Athletic.

They also lost to second tier Dutch side Helmond Sports near Eindhoven, and in their last outing went down 2-1 to Braintree Town.

Wayne Burnett’s men will kick off their League Two campaign on Saturday away to Portsmouth, hoping to improve on their 14th place finish last season. They have snapped up former Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy on a free transfer, one of four new faces in the Daggers side this year, and will once again be spearheaded in attack by veteran striker Jamie Cureton who hit 19 goals last term.

Tickets for tonight’s 7.30pm kick-off at Victoria Road will be available on the turnstiles tonight for away supporters, priced at:
Adults - £12.00
Seniors 65+ - £8.00
10-16 yrs - £6.00
Under 10 - £2.00
