Ledley: Draw Was A Fair Result

26 December 2015

Joe Ledley felt a point each was a fair result after Palace's hard-fought 0-0 draw at AFC Bournemouth this afternoon.

The central midfielder started the game and worked tirelessly in the middle of the pitch as both sides tried to run the other off the park.

"It was very tough," he reflected afterwards. "It was two teams going in with good form and we knew it was going to be tough; Boxing Day, both teams going at it, both teams in good form. It was difficult, we had some spells, they had some spells, but I think a point at the end was fair."

Ledley also started the away win over Stoke City last weekend, which he also felt was a tough game, but for Palace to come away with four points from two in-forms sides was pleasing for the Welshman.

"The last two games have been very difficult," he said. "We’ve faced tough teams, who have both been at it, but at the end of it we’ve picked up four points."
