Palace's under-18 side won their seventh successive game with a 4-2 victory against Millwall, which moved them into second position in the U18 Professional Development League 2 table.
Palace started well and put their neighbours under plenty of pressure in the opening stages, and took the lead after 13 minutes when Will Hoare whipped a free-kick into the box which caught the Lions' keeper off guard and sailed into the net.
That's the way the scoreline remained until half-time, but only thanks to Bradley Comins who was forced into a great save when he blocked a volley from a Millwall attacker at full-stretch.
Four minutes after the restart Ken Gillard's side went 2-0 ahead when Michael Phillips and Corie Andrews linked up to hand an opportunity to winger Aaron Bissaka who found the net with a well-taken left footed strike.
The visitors then squandered two or three decent opportunities to pull a goal back without testing Comins, but he was beaten when a free-kick was flicked over the goalkeeper by a Millwall centre-back to get them back into the game.
On 83 minutes Oliver Bennett was brought on as a substitute and he wrapped the game up by scoring with his first touch. Andrews did well to hold the ball up and turn, crossing into the box where the midfielder was on hand to side-foot the ball past the Lions' keeper.
The gloss was applied when Bissaka grabbed his second on 90 minutes when he beat two players and fired into the bottom corner, and despite conceding a late free-kick Palace clinched their seventh straight victory to move into the play-off places.
