Chamakh Back For Toon Clash

11 February 2015

Marouane Chamakh has returned to the Crystal Palace starting line-up for tonight's game against Newcastle United.

The Moroccan striker missed the Leicester City last weekend after sustaining a broken nose in the defeat to Everton the week before, but comes back into the Palace side ahead of Jordon Mutch.

There are two other changes to the Eagles' line-up, with Alan Pardew selecting Yaya Sanogo ahead of Dwight Gayle, and Brede Hangeland starts in place of Scott Dann who took a blow to the head against the Foxes four days ago.

Also, Yannick Bolasie returns from his international exploits to take a place on the Eagles' bench.

Newcastle meanwhile make two changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Stoke City on Sunday, with Papiss Cisse and Yoan Gouffran coming in for Vurnon Anita and Sammy Ameobi.

Palace: Speroni, Ward, Hangeland, Delaney, Kelly, Puncheon, McArthur, Ledley, Zaha, Chamakh, Sanogo. Subs: Hennessey, Mariappa, Mutch, Bolasie, Murray, Campbell, Gayle.

Newcastle: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Haidara, Gouffran, Colback, Sissoko, Cabella, Cisse, Perez. Subs: Woodman, Taylor, Dummett, Anita, Abeid, Obertan, Riviere.
