VIDEO: Lee Chung-yong

5 February 2015

On Monday evening the club completed the signing of Lee Chung-Yong from Bolton Wanderers and today the midfielder spoke to Palace TV and revealed his excitement at the move to Crystal Palace Football Club.

“This club plays in the best league in the world and it is where everyone wants to play. I am looking forward to the opportunity of doing that with my new club.”

At Bolton Lee played with former Eagles Dean Moxey and Neil Danns so the South Korean international is aware of what this club is about.

“We spoke about Palace as a club and they said how friendly it was and one big family. They also told me about the fans and how good they are.”

Lee is currently unavailable through an injury picked up in the opening game at the recent Asian Cup; we asked how his recovery was coming along.

“I can’t join the team out in training at the moment but my injury is getting better and I hope I recover well and play soon”.

After speaking to us he went into the gym and did some work with the fitness team so hopefully it will not be too long before we see him action.
