Eagles striker Kwesi Appiah has been named in Ghana's 23 man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The development striker, who has been on loan at Cambridge United this season, was handed a place in the Black Stars' provisional 30-man training camp ahead of the tournament in Equatorial Guinea later this month.
He scored in last night's 3-0 friendly victory against Portuguese side Olhanense in Faro and will now be looking to win his first international cap during the tournament.
Having scored eight times in 23 appearances for Cambridge this season, the 24-year-old was called up by Avram Grant to the squad, who will have to come through a tough group phase if they are to make it to the knockout stages.
Ghana will face Senegal in their opening game on 19th January before four days later taking on Algeria.
They finish their campaign against South Africa on the 27th hoping to finish in the top two in what has been dubbed 'The Group of Death'.
