Alan Pardew and his Palace squad have been enjoying their first day in Cape Town after landing in South Africa this afternoon.
The first half of the Eagles squad touched down around lunchtime, followed by the second group of the touring party around two hours later. After grabbing something to eat and having a couple of hours rest, the boys were back on the training pitch by 5pm.
Pardew and his coaching staff oversaw a ball work session with the squad which helped them shake off any rustiness after nearly 15 hours of travelling to the Rainbow Nation, before returning to their hotel for the evening.
With two sessions scheduled tomorrow before their first matchday of the tournament on Friday, it’ll be a busy few days for the Palace squad before they take to the field against Supersport United on Friday afternoon as they aim to book their place in the final.
