Andy Woodman has returned to one of his former clubs from his playing days as he joins the Eagles backroom coaching staff as goalkeeper coach.
The 43 year old was at Palace between 1989 and 1993 before appearing for a number of clubs including being part of the Northampton Town side that won the Division
Three play-offs in 1997.
He joins from Newcastle United where he will once again work with Alan Pardew after being with him at West Ham United, Charlton Athletic and had been at St James Park since December 2010.
