Michael Phillips was the hero of the hour as he scored an injury-time penalty to grab a share of the spoils against Coventry City on Saturday.
In their final home game of the season, the Eagles fell a goal behind on the half hour mark when Phillips pulled back a Sky Blues attacker inside the area and George Thomas converted from 12 yards to hand the visitor the advantage.
The Eagles came back though and reacted well to falling a goal behind, with Andre Coker coming close when Palace attacked down the left and the ball was pulled back to the wingr but he saw his opportunity saved by the goalkeeper.
A change in shape at half-time helped the hosts further as they created more chances in the second 45 minutes. Coker saw another shot saved after being picked out by Corie Andrews and he then turned provider for Will Hoare who failed to register.
But in final moments, two 16-year-old scholars linked up to win Palace a penalty in injury time. Oliver Pain's free-kick came to Hoare who found Sam Woods, and he touched the ball off to Luke Dreher who was brought down inside the area, and Phillips made amends for his earlier error by tucking the ball home and clinching a last-gasp draw.
