Goal Of The Season - The Nominees

13 May 2015

With excitement building ahead of the club's Awards Night next Wednesday at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, fans have had a say in which Palace player walks away with the Goal Of The Season award for 2014/15.

There have been some great strikes to find the back of the opposition net this campaign from the boys in red and blue, and over the past week you've been voting for your favourite - thanks for getting involved!

Voting is now closed and the winner will be revealed at the ceremony tonight, but here is a reminder of the five contenders:

Jason Puncheon v Newcastle United - 30th August 2014

After Yannick Bolasie fed him the ball on the left, a loose touch saw the ball spin up high into the air but Puncheon managed to strike it first-time from the edge of the area into the bottom corner of the Magpies net.

Mile Jedinak v Liverpool - 22nd November 2014

The Eagles skipper smashed home a free-kick from nearly 30 yards which flew over the Reds wall and into the top corner of Simon Mignolet's net to seal a famous 3-1 victory for the Eagles.

Marouane Chamakh v Southampton - 24th January 2015

In the FA Cup fourth round tie against the Saints Joel Ward found the Moroccan striker with a brilliant pass with the outside of his foot, which allowed the hitman to dart around Fraser Forster and slide the ball home.

Jason Puncheon v Manchester City - 4th April 2015

Another superb free-kick to beat one of the country's top sides at Selhurst, but this time it's Puncheon who manages to curl the ball over the wall from just outside the area to beat England's number one Joe Hart.

Yannick Bolasie v Sunderland - 11th April 2015

The second of three goals for the winger that afternoon saw him race onto a long pass by Mile Jedinak, control a difficult bouncing ball surrounded by defenders and loft it over all 6'8'' of Costel Pantilimon into the net.
