Eagles skipper Mile Jedinak has been named in Australia's squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh over the course of the next fortnight.
The Socceroos captain has been out of contention for the start of his country's qualifying campaign due to injuries, and in his absence the Aussies recorded wins over Bangladesh and Tajikistan but lost last time out to Jordan.
That leaves Ange Postecoglou's men second in their group, four points behind Jordan but with a game in hand as they aim to reach the finals in Russia in 2018, as well as qualify for the 2019 Asian Cup which will be held in the United Arab Emirates, with Jedinak lifting the trophy earlier this year for his country.
"Having Mile available again is a boost for the next two matches," said Postecoglou.
"Mile has made his return from injury and as the skipper his presence will be a bonus."
Jedinak has already won 59 caps for his country, having made his debut back in 2008 and has represented them at the 2014 World Cup, and could add to that tally in Canberra on Thursday 12th November against Kyrgyzstan before the trip to Bangladesh five days later.
