Academy Report: Charlton 3-1 Palace

18 October 2015

League leaders Charlton Athletic came from behind to beat Palace in this top of the table encounter in the U18 Professional Development League 2.

The Eagles had taken the lead just before half-time when Levi Lumeka raced onto a sloppy backpass and tucked the ball past Jordan Beeney when he went one-on-one with the keeper.

But they would relinquish their lead in the second 45 when substitute Sulaiman Bah made an instant impact, and 14 minutes from time Christopher Millar tucked home a rebound after Oliver Pain had pushed an effort onto the post.

Three minutes later the points were sealed when Dan Bowry headed home to secure derby day success for the hosts.

Palace: Pain, Hogan, Sturgess, Dreher, Jones, Woods, Andrews, Phillips (Hall 75), Fundi, Bennett (Flanagan 59), Lumeka. Subs not used: McAdden, Hosannah, Yeboah.
