Wayne Hennessey has praised the fans at last night's Wales game in Cardiff, comparing them to the famous Crystal Palace support.
"It was an amazing atmosphere," the goalkeeper said after their 2-0 win in their final group game. "It's like the Palace end down that one side!
"The fans were fantastic tonight and they were brilliant at the stages of the game where it got difficult for us. Things weren't working out, we hadn't scored, then we got that one goal and things just kicked on from there."
Wales won the game 2-0 against Andorra, though qualification for EURO 2016 had been secured prior to the game, despite defeat in Bosnia, due to Israel's failure to beat Cyprus at the weekend.
Hennessey played the full 90 minutes for the Dragons, keeping another clean sheet, which meant that he finished the qualification campaign having conceded just four goals.
His Palace teammate Jonny Williams also started, playing for 85 minutes, which has been seen as a real boost, given the young midfielder's recent injury worries.
"It was amazing to see him back," Hennessey said. "He's one of the fantastic talents we've got in that dressing room. It's good also for Crystal Palace. I'm sure the fans will be excited to see him back and he's been playing really well."
