Sullay Kaikai scored his first goals for Shrewsbury Town after coming off the bench at half-time to transform his side’s fortunes in their victory against Colchester United on Saturday.
The Eagles winger started the game at the Greenhous Meadow on the bench but with his side trailing 2-0 at the break he was given a chance to show what he could do and the 20-year-old seized his opportunity.
After helping his side get back on level terms, Kaikai scored his first after rounding the keeper and rolling the ball home, before firing in his second late on to secure a 4-2 victory for the Shrews, which leaves them 14th in the League One table.
With the international break allowing those on loan in the Championship some time off, elsewhere in the League One, Jerome Binnom-Williams also came on a substitute in the 63rd minute for Burton Albion, but they were replaced at the top of the table by Walsall after losing 2-0 to the Saddlers.
In League Two Hiram Boateng played 66 minutes as Plymouth Argyle moved to the top of the league by beating Notts County, in what was the midfielder’s 15th appearance for the Pilgrims.
Chris Kettings was a part of the Bromley side that romped to their eight win in their last nine matches by beating Barrow 5-0, which leaves Bromley fourth in the National League as they push for promotion to the Football League.
