Alan Pardew was left slightly disappointed after the Eagles' 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United, feeling Palace should have secured all three points given how well they played.
"It was a game we should have won, but [we] much more like us," he said. "It was a point that I'll gladly accept."
Palace had lost their last three games - two of which were in the league - so the point against United was Pardew's men stopping the slide and trying to rectify their form after a tricky month. The combative performance, twinned with the Eagles creating a lot of chances, pleased the manager - he was just disappointed they couldn't convert.
"The Palace way was back," he said. "We'd struggled in the last few games to keep that freshness on the pitch, particularly with the defensive players.
"Really and truly it (the performance) should have resulted in a win. It's a great day for the club, considering Man United came here and are lucky to leave with a point."
