Palace manager Alan Pardew has confirmed that both Connor Wickham and Marouane Chamakh are still out of action for the upcoming trip to Leicester City's King Power Stadium.
During his pre-match press conference, Pardew revealed that the attacking duo were both still on the road to recovery, but were edging ever closer to a return.
"The only two still out are Chamakh and Connor," he said, when discussing team news on Thursday. "Everyone else is available, I think, so far.
"He's back running, so we don't think he's too far away [from a return]," the manager said, regarding Wickham's recovery from a calf problem. "We're taking a bit of extra care because he had a breakdown in between there on his calf injury." He confirmed to the press that the striker would be back in action within "a couple of weeks."
Regarding Chamakh, Pardew said: "He's getting very close. We're having to be very, very careful because of this re-occurring hamstring injury."
