Crystal Palace can confirm the signing of Belgian youngster Jason Lokilo from Anderlecht, following the receipt of the player's international clearance.
The highly-rated 17-year-old starlet had been training with the under-21s and under-18s squads since the summer and will be looking to break into one of the two sides for this season.
"I'm very happy to have signed with Crystal Palace," he said. "It's a good club making progress. They bought Cabaye, who is a very good player. [And I like] Bolasie, Zaha, Puncheon, it's a very good [place] for wingers!
"I've trained very well and I'm looking to continue that."
Lokilo sees himself as a creator of chances and showed a willingness to play wherever needed, when asked about his preferred position.
"I'm a right winger, but I can play anywhere," he said. "I like to pass the ball and get assists. I'm left-footed, so I like to cut inside to create chances to score."
In a video interview with the Eagles' media team (which is available to watch for free HERE), Lokilo's English is undeniably good, but when asked whether he was taught the language at school in Belgium, he replied: "No, never.
"I used to watch interviews with Cristiano Ronaldo, I'm a big fan," he laughed. "I hope to work on my English, to play with the under-21s and maybe sometimes the under-18s, let's see!"
