Chung-yong Lee's South Korea roared to an emphatic 3-0 victory away to Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon, with the Crystal Palace midfielder playing the full 90 minutes.
Hyun-Soo Jang opened the scoring from the penalty spot, firing his effort in off the post, to gift the South Koreans the advantage after 23 minutes. Shortly after, their lead was doubled when Ja-Cheol Koo's close range, deflected effort found the back of the net.
Chang-Hoon Kwon completed the rout on the hour mark, firing a low effort beyond Lebanon's Abbas Hassan from the edge of the area. Palace star Lee played the entire game at the Saida International stadium, as South Korea took another big step on the road to World Cup 2018 qualification.
Elsewhere, Adrian Mariappa captained his country to a 2-0 victory over Nicaragua. Jamaica had narrowly lost 3-2 in the first meeting between the two sides on Saturday, in which Mariappa scored, but got the job done in the second leg.
The Reggae Boyz have, like Lee and South Korea, taken a positive step on the way to qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
