Alan Pardew has made six changes to his side for tonight’s Capital One Cup derby game against Charlton Athletic.
Fraizer Campbell and Dwight Gayle start up front, with Chung-yong Lee providing support from the wing as Yannick Bolasie, Bakary Sako and Jason Puncheon drop out.
Joe Ledley comes into central midfield in place of Yohan Cabaye, and Adrian Mariappa replaces Brede Hangeland.
Wayne Hennessey is given the nod to start in goal again in this competition, having started in the previous round against Shrewsbury Town, with Julian Speroni named on the bench.
Charlton meanwhile make wholesale changes for the game with star man Johann Berg Gudmundsson named on the bench and Everton loanee Conor McAleny lading the attack in a youthful looking side, skippered by Chris Solly.
