Wayne Hennessey and Joe Ledley are a step nearer qualification for Euro 2016 following Wales 1-0 victory in Nicosia on Thursday evening.
Ledley was on the bench, but was suffering with a hamstring injury, although Hennessey took his place in the starting eleven and picked up his 50th international cap.
Wales remain unbeaten in Group B and three points clear and a victory against Israel on Sunday will seal qualification.
After an effort from David Edwards was disallowed early on, the deciding goal was scored by Gareth Bale with eight minutes remaining.
The game looked to be heading to a goalless draw before the defender got on the end of a cross from Jazz Richards to take the points for Chris Coleman's side.
The squad now move onto that game at The Cardiff City Stadium at the weekend with a great chance of entering a major tournament for the first time in 58 years.
