Palace's academy side's hopes of sneaking into the end of season play-off spots were ended after a 3-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town in their penultimate game of the season.
The Terriers took the lead on 17 minutes when a rash tackle from an Eagles defender conceded a penalty, and Jack Boyle made no mistake from 12 yards.
Palace came back into the game though and some determined play by Victor Fundi down the right created a shooting chance for Jason Lokilo but his scuffed shot was easy for the home goalkeeper.
In the second half some lax defending by the Eagles allowed Huddersfield to advance all the way up the field and resulted in a shot from just outside the box which struck the crossbar, however on 67 minutes it was 2-0 when a set-piece routine saw a short corner played out and Don Tear had a simple header at the front post to make it 2-0.
But just four minutes later the Eagles won a free-kick 25 yards from goal and Lokilo stepped up to beat the wall and find the bottom corner to reduce the deficit.
However the Terriers wrapped the game up on 81 minutes when Sam Warde flicked the ball home after a shot from distance fell into his path to end Palace's hopes of silverware this season.
