Alan Pardew has said that Sunday's Emirates FA Cup Semi-Final triumph has left his players "in fantastic spirits" ahead of Saturday's trip to his old club Newcastle United.
Palace saw off Watford 2-1 at the home of football to put themselves within one game of silverware - with the result boosting squad morale, according to the manager.
"Only a cup final appearance generates that [type of mood]. I've had it as a player and as a manager before. The guys are obviously in fantastic spirits, they're looking forward to that occasion (the final)," he said.
"On my part, I need to focus the team on the most important issue for me, which is this Saturday's game and then the game after and the game after that. [We need] to keep that feeling.
"We've tried to make sure that we're covering the bases, that the team is really, really focused for Newcastle."
