Team News: Return Of The Mac

30 April 2016

James McArthur has returned to the Crystal Palace starting line-up for today's game against Newcastle United.

The Scottish midfielder makes his first start for the Eagles since the 2nd February when Palace lost to Bournemouth at home, having missed the last few month with an ankle injury.

He replaces Wilfried Zaha, who has a knock, in the only change from the side that beat Watford 2-1 at Wembley last weekend.

This game marks the first return of Alan Pardew and Yohan Cabaye to St James' Park since departing the Magpies.

Rafael Benitez meanwhile has made one change to his side that started last weekend's 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum replacing Ayoze Perez on the wing.

Newcastle United: Darlow, Anita, Lascelles, Mbemba, Dummett, Tiote, Colback, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Townsend, Cisse. Subs: Woodman, Taylor, Mbabu, Shelvey, De Jong, Perez, Mitrovic.

Palace: Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Cabaye, Jedinak, Bolasie, McArthur, Puncheon, Wickham. Subs: McCarthy, Mariappa, Kelly, Ledley, Sako, Gayle, Adebayor.
