Connor Wickham was left speechless with Palace's 2-1 win over Watford on Sunday evening, having nodded the Eagles' winning goal beyond Costel Pantilimon in the second half.
"For myself, personally, it's hard to put into words what it means. It's one of them one-in-a-lifetime occasions that you can't put into words," he told Palace TV after the final whistle.
"The most important thing is that we've got ourselves into a final and we've given the fans and the club and the whole squad something to look forward to.
"I think the goal that they got was my fault, so I felt like I owed it to the team!" Wickham admitted. "My header was well placed and the keeper couldn't get it and that got us back in front."
