Keith Millen goes back to his former club, Watford, on Boxing Day with the knowledge of the threats that will be posed by the home side as the side look to improve on the recent run of poor results away from home,
"They are a big strong side, they have two centre forwards who they get the ball into so we are going to have to deal with that threat, this is something we have not been good at of late but we have got to make sure we are stronger and tougher out of possession.
"We do feel though that with the players we have going forward that we are capable of scoring goals which we have done in a lot of our games this season. We need to get that balance right and hopefully we can do that in this match on Monday".
Millen had no great cheer on the team news front but was able to report one of the squad that should be ready to make a return in the festive fixture.
"We still haven't got James Tomkins and Bakary Sako for this game, they are not quite ready yet and we have a couple of others that haven’t trained but do we have some time before the Watford game to get them right for the match. So unfortunately I haven’t got any good news on long term injuries but because the squad is so small at the moment we are being really careful with the remainder of the group when they are out on the training pitch.
"I am pleased though to be able to report that Mathieu Flamini is a positive though as he has been out training and I am hopeful he will be available for this one."
In respect of possible changes the options are limited due to the injury list but Millen believes that the management do have a couple of options that could see some changes being made.
"We are not spoilt for choice due to our injury situation but we do have a couple of things to look at to freshen us up, the lads are going into this game on the back of a couple of good performances, if not results, and we could have easily got something from both of those matches last week. The group of players have a great attitude and they cannot be faulted for their work ethic as always and are certainly ready for this latest test."
