Scott Dann was pleased Palace were able to pick up their first Premier League point of 2016, following a frustrating run of five games without a win.
"It was massive," he said of the result at Swansea City. "We've been on a bad run of late and to stop that was what we wanted to do today.
"Three points would have been nice, but the way the game shaped up in the first half we were probably lucky to only be one goal down.
"We made more of the game [after that], we came out and got the goal in the second half, pushed for a second and it was one of them games that we needed to see out and we had the spirit, the character to do it."
Dann prodded home his fifth goal of the season from close range at the start of the second period, drawing Palace level after Gylfi Sigurdsson's free kick had gifted the Swans' the advantage early on.
