Alan Pardew was left disappointed with Crystal Palace's "disjointed offensive display" in the 1-0 defeat away to Premier League strugglers Aston Villa.
There were few chances to speak of for the Eagles, Connor Wickham and Bakary Sako both saw long-range efforts go over the bar, whilst Wilfried Zaha struck the post in the first minute and Damien Delaney saw a first half volley sail narrowly wide.
"It’s difficult to give my thoughts really," reflected Pardew. "The lack of offensive power going forward is becoming a problem. It really was a disjointed offensive display.
"We have to acknowledge that our quality, our game plan didn’t come to light in the first half and it didn’t come to light in the second half, so we’ve got some work to do."
