The new home and away kits, produced by Macron, for season 2016/17 are available for pre-order. Following the launch of the new designs in May we are pleased to announce that fans can now pre-order with an estimated delivery date of the end of July.
Adult shirts are priced from £44.99 and Children sizes are £34.99.
The new home shirt has seen a change in the thickness of the stripes, with larger ones once again used just as they had in the club’s successful promotion season of 2012/13.
The single thicker central stripe will become many when the players line up in a row, evoking a spirit of togetherness and symbolises the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
Palace have donned variations of the red and blue stripes since 1973 when they were introduced by legendary boss Malcolm Allison. During that time it has been worn by some of the Eagles’ most iconic players and the colours red and blue quickly became synonymous with Crystal Palace Football Club.
Mixing the classic yellow away kits of yesteryear with the iconic red and blue sash, the new gold change kit is sure to be a hit with the club’s fans as it invokes memories of famous away days of the past.
The sash has been a feature of Palace kits stretching back to the 1975/76 season, and was worn when the Eagles topped the top-flight for the only time in their history in September 1979. Yellow meanwhile has been associated as the Eagles’ lucky change colour over the years, and it was first used in 1971.
Pre-orders will be delivered before they go on sale in the club store during pre-season.
