Yohan Cabaye was an unused substitute in Wednesday evening’s Group A match against Albania as France recorded a victory courtesy of two late goals.
The host nation became the first side to reach the knockout stage of the tournament as they won 2-0 following goals from Antoine Griezmann and Dimitri Payet.
The European Championship debutants will have felt unfortunate not to have got anything from the match as they looked set to secure something, against the odds, playing the home side.
Albania are still to pick up their first point of Euro 2016 and must beat Romania on Sunday to stand any chance of qualifying.
France have still to play one more game against Switzerland but the 64,000 crowd celebrated their place in the last sixteen of the tournament once the final whistle of the game was blown.
